Whenever I am immersed in reading historical stories from ancient times, a friend of mine always reminds me that history is just a pretty relic and we should look to the future. Yet while reading mythological stories from different cultures and different periods, commonalities in them gradually emerged. History does not repeat details and the process repeats similarities. The cyclical nature of history in mythology allows people in different time periods to connect with each other.
