The human action of creating monsters has been historically significant throughout the Anthropocene. We have seen thousands of monsters from different cultures in myths, literature, artifacts, paintings, and other art forms. Monsters often have ugly and deformed appearances and hold hostilities towards human beings, being depicted as terrifying, dangerous, and intense creatures. The creation of monsters can be interpreted as a desire to explore the natural environment beyond, a romantic rationalization of the fear of the unknown. Monsters represent many things. For humans, monsters are an exploration of their own existence. For nature, monsters represent the irreversible ecological crisis caused by human impact. For art and design, monsters are a rebellion that challenge prevailing cultural narratives and disrupt hierarchies. Reflecting on those monsters we created in the Anthropocene, how does it help us gain insight into our humanity and what it means to be human? How can making monsters help us better understand nature? How do monsters challenge the current art design culture and contribute to the future development of art and design? After all, how does monster creation contribute to our understanding of our connections with each other, nature, and the culture of art and design? I decided to use monster as a probe to initiate conceptual exploration of people’s deeper thoughts, meanwhile, use AI as a method to translate them into AI-generated monsters.&nbsp; The goal is to explore a new possibility using generative AI as a tool to reflect on ourselves.After several rounds of prompts and research, the final outcome is an experimental website, representing a narrative remixing and a celebration of our own monsters.&nbsp; In conclusion, the relationship between monsters and technology in the digital age is a complex and ever-evolving one. As we navigate this new frontier, it's essential to recognize how our monsters serve as mirrors, reflecting our fears, hopes, and the challenges we face in an increasingly technology-driven world. By understanding the role of monsters in our collective imagination, we can better prepare ourselves for the uncertainties and possibilities that lie ahead. Will AI continue to serve as a protective force, or will it unleash new forms of fear? The answer lies in how we choose to shape and interact with this powerful technology. The word “Poetic”, derived from poetry, can come to mean nearly anything in this context and the word loses&nbsp; any descriptive power: various ideas, associations and situations are created simultaneously by one single word or expression or sentence, and thus making the poem appear to be almost always changing and full of life. Thus, it is the ambiguity of poetry that makes it immortal. It combined two irrelevant design pieces, a cathedral and a coding language, through the lenses of metaphysics, to discover the unspoken spiritual realm that connects people to art for centuries. A Symphony of The Incomprehensible Upon the barren church, in Saint-Denis' haunted land, Where droplets fall like tears, nature grasps its altars grand. Beneath the mournful roof, birds lament a child's unstoppable fate, And within these hallowed walls, a tale of faith awaits. I. Pilgrimage In twilight of yore, upon cold, hallowed stone, A pilgrim in the very first Gothic cathedral, seeking sanctuary untold. In the light from the rainbow hue, pointed spires reach the heaven, A tapestry woven of light, casting stories of faith. In Elysian illusion cast upon this mortal sphere, A guardian of shadows lies, both hidden and austere. Solemn, dignified, a sentinel of steadfast might, Subduing spirits malevolent that lurk in the night. Monstrous in appearance, yet with sacred grace they stand, Guardians strong and resolute, protecting this hallowed land. Against encroaching darkness and shadows' bleak embrace, They safeguard earthly paradise, a haven in this place. From the Incomprehensible, God's presence he feel near, Emotions evoked in this sanctum, where fear and admiration appear. A complex, nuanced, hard-to-articulate feeling, shall be a divine tethering. The spirit is lifted, borne aloft on angelic choirs' embracing. II. Programming The drum of thunder landed wistfully, Breaking up the murmuring rains in the midnight dreary. In the Symphony of the raging tempest, A drifting soul rests in silence. Under the dimmed light of the screen, The darkened glass lying on the spilled coffee. Nightly, in the flashing of windows reporting errors. The programmer entered the unrest shore. Within the quiet solitude of a modern-day realm, His fingers, navigating through vast oceans, finally cease in calm. In the intricate web of languages, he finds a world both complex and grand, A digital cathedral where he labors with devotion, mapping with hand. In the depths of code, as a medieval artisan with chisel and stone, The elegance of each script, akin to carvings on a cathedral wall, He crafts creations, breathing faith into lines, his devotion honed. Reflects a chasing of the ungraspable, a testament to all. III. Intersection The cathedral, a sanctuary of stone, the computer, a chamber of light, Both spaces hold whispers of the divine, echoes of the infinite. In these realms, they find solace, a connection to something beyond, A sacred communion, a spiritual bond, a love that knows no bounds. In the labyrinth of the web, amid the whirlwind of code and thought, He finds his salvation akin to the pilgrim's sanctuary sought. The spiritual connections they forge, bridging the chasm of time, Bind them in a symphony of sacred connections, an incomprehensible, poetic paradigm. In this symphony of sacred connections, transcending time and space, I embrace the spiritual journey that weaves throughout the human race. It is a type of play that is often percieved as risky or dangerious and may involve pushing boundaries and breaking rules. While dark play may be seen as inappropriate or harmful in some contents, it can also serve a valuable purpose. For example, it can provide a safe and controlled environment for individuals to explore and express their emotions, fears, and desires, and form caring for themselves and others. In this 4-week project,&nbsp;Asbjørn and I explored caring and daring in dark play through several experimental exercises. How can we improve our relationship instead of decreasing the intimacy? It is about how we dared each other, and what we learned about it.Based on initial research, two-player collaborative game sometimes trigger negative emotions during fun-play. Material The material to convey the message of “Allegory” is stone. &nbsp;The words rock and stone refer to the main elements in ancient foundations and are used as metaphors in scripture to&nbsp;symbolize strength, stability and permanence. Stones can be&nbsp;used to create tools, to build houses, and to construct roads. Stones can be turned into paint, giving humans the ability to&nbsp;use color. Stones can also be turned into wealth, into disaster,&nbsp;and even into proof of man’s past and future. So I think the&nbsp;existence of the stone itself is an allegory.&nbsp;I used different visual treatments to obscure the original&nbsp;existance of the stone and make it more similar to other things.&nbsp;I had a hard time finding out ways to change the shape of the&nbsp;stone because the material is solid and stable. Then I tried to&nbsp;observe the effect of the stone to the outside world, such as the&nbsp;shape of the shadow of the stone in different light. Or even put the stone into water and then drop it on paper. I believe that the&nbsp;use of different approaches to indirectly represent the form of&nbsp;the stone resonates with my subject “allegory”. <img width="3300" height="5100" width_o="3300"
